Halloween!

We had our 2nd annual Halloween/Costume party this year on my birthday, and it was a super fun night. We had 25 people in attendance in our little ol' bungalow, and it was too chilly for a bonfire, so we had everyone inside -- upstairs and downstairs. The ages of our guests ranged from 2 months (our new little neighbor) to 60-something. We invited family & friends who have kids..I have a feeling our list will grow even more as more friends continue having kids! Hopefully the weather will be nicer next year so we can be outside too!

To keep the kiddos busy, we had mini pumpkin painting and some kid-friendly snacks. And to keep the adults happy, we had 2 different kinds of soup (Eric's buffalo chicken soup was a bigger hit than my chicken noodle) and regular or spiked cider. Plus, there was lots of time to chat and watch the little people play with Emmett's new car toy.

I know we're missing some people - we got pics of a lot, but not all of our guests! Sorry to those we left out! This has become a fun tradition, so mark your calendars for next year.

On Halloween night, we took Emmett trick-or-treating on our street to a few of our neighbors' houses. Emmett liked being able to climb people's stairs leading to their houses, but he did not like the man a few doors down who wanted to give him candy. He started crying when the guy said "hi" to him. Eric is okay with that - then we know he won't go up to just anyone who wants to give him candy, I guess. He was okay with the people he knew, especially if we held him.
