A Belated Welcome

By now, I'm sure you have all heard that we welcomed Emmett Robert Stone into the world on June 23. He weighed 7 lbs 5 oz, was 19 inches long and had a ton of dark hair.

It's hard to believe about 2.5 weeks have already gone by! At the same time, it's crazy how much he seems to change every day. He now sports a double chin. He still has all his crazy hair. He's gone from eating ~1 oz per feeding to 3-3.5 ounces per feeding. He lifts his head when lying on my chest.

In 2 weeks, we have learned...

• to point his boy parts downward when changing diapers so you don't end up with pee on your clothes/his clothes/the wall/changing pad/etc.
• he doesn't like getting in and out of his carseat, but once the transition is over, he is super happy.
• Emmett loves snuggling with us. His favorite is lying on one of our chests on his tummy.
• he is one chill dude. When Indy barks at her enemies (two dogs who live down the street), Emmett sleeps right through it all.
• he smiles in his sleep.

Needless to say, we love this little guy so much. So welcome to the world, Emmett! We are so glad you're here!
